Production: How is Tin Oxide Made?

Tin Oxide is made by first isolating tin from the mineral source. Cassiterite is smelted at high temperature. The isolated tin is then oxidised at high temperature to speed up the process resulting in a pure, powdery substance without any remaining impurities.
