Glyceryl Caprylate is a naturally derived ingredient with many uses. It’s raw materials can be grown sustainably and its manufacturing process is much more eco-friendly than alternatives.
Glyceryl Caprylate can be found in makeup from foundations and eye shadows, to lipstick and eyeliners. Many kincare formulations make use of glyceryl caprylate too, from moisturising day and night creams to deep hydration masks.
Glyceryl Caprylate is made by an esterification reaction of glycerine and caprylic acid.
Glyceryl caprylate and polyglyceryl caprylate are much safer alternatives to Polyethylene Glycols (PEGs) since the manufacturing processes of PEGs can result in contamination with 1,4-dioxane (an extremely carcinogenic substance).
